Kheer Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 litre Milk
- 1/2 cup Rice
- 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder
- 10-12 Almonds
- 10-12 Raisins
Instructions
- Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes.
- Drain the water and grind the rice into a coarse powder.
- Boil the milk in a heavy-bottomed pan.
- Add the rice powder to the milk and stir well.
- Keep stirring continuously to prevent the kheer from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
- When the rice is cooked and the kheer has thickened, add sugar and cardamom powder. Mix well.
- Add chopped almonds and raisins. Mix well.
- Serve hot or cold, as desired.
