Karahi Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Chicken
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Tomato
  • 2 Green Chilies
  • 1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 cup Yogurt
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Salt (as per taste)
  • Fresh Coriander (for garnishing)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a karahi and add sliced onion. Cook until onion is light golden in color.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
  3. Add chopped tomato and green chilies. Cook until tomatoes are soft and mushy.
  4. Add red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Add chicken and mix well. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Whisk the yogurt and add it to the chicken. Mix well and cook for another 10-12 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with naan or rice.
